Hydrographic Surveying
is a specialised and highly varied role, demanding a deep understanding of the physical environment underwater. Hydrographic survey has four major components.
- Positioning. This refers to the location of the survey data with respect to latitude and longitude.
- Water depth, measured from a vertical reference surface or datum.
- Features, these include shoals and other features.
- Underwater characteristics. This refers primarily to the bottom type (for example, mud, sand, bedrock).
Anchoring design and calculation
Our engineers will use environmental data and design layouts provided by you in order to dimension the anchoring system, to ensure that the system will be strong enough to secure your application.
We will calculate and dimension an optimal anchoring system that suits your needs, and provide you with complete drawings and guidelines showing how to the units should be installed. We can also assist with on-site installation help if requested.
Engineering
Before SUNTARA Floating even comes to life, we design for reliability testing identifies high-risk areas and tests for validating results.
With advance engineering, conducting finite element analysis, or FEA, ensures all of our SUNTARA models can handle various types of stress. FEA is used to optimize the design of a part to improve the design, avoid possible failures and validate the existing geometry for its application.
Simulations
We provide mathematically generated simulations of floating application. These simulations show how real-time peak loads occur with user-specified environmental variables. This means that we can simulate Floating Solar System and Anchoring System any application and choose which winds, currents, wave heights etc. to use in the simulation, and mathematically verify that Floating Solar System will work as intended.
